Ion Beam Milling, Inc. is happy to announce we have further increased our dicing capacity with the purchase of a 3rd Disco dicing system. Due to increasing customer orders the addition of the 3rd Disco dicing system positions Ion Beam Milling to well serve it's current customers as well as prepare for future growth in the microelectronics, photonics and medical industries. Ion Beam Milling, Inc. has just celebrated our 25th year in business. We continue to grow and better serve the microelectronics, photonics and medical industries.
Ion Beam Milling Ships 10 Millionth Laser Diode Submount/Heat Spreader!
We have recently shipped our 10 millionth Laser Diode Submount/Heat Spreader to a valued telecommunications customer in Asia.
Our very high density fabrication process and final yields >99.86% are a direct result of our TEAM approach to customer requirements. Our ongoing efficiency program is a direct extension of our ISO Certification Baselining for all functions in the organization.
We anticipate our 20 millionth heat spreader shipment to occur in early 2007.

Ion Beam Milling has recently acquired a Commonwealth Scientific Millatron 8000 Model 38J Ion Milling System. "With the addiiton of this system, we have tripled our throughput capacity. New Product - Heat Spreader / Standoff Capacitor
Ion Beam Milling Inc. announces a new product from its thermal management business segment. Our Heat Spreader / Standoff Capacitor offers two functions for the designer of high performance modules. Manufactured from Aluminum Nitride, Beryllium Oxide, and Alumina, these devices provide an optimized mounting platform for high performance semiconductors such as Gallium Arsenide and Silicon. Manufactured in a wide array of size and thickness, these components provide dielectric standoff, thermal spreading and CTE match. As standoff capacitors, these devices offer excellent repeatability for jumper mount, bypass, and tuning capacitor applications.
